How can I tell if a bike lock is Sold Secure approved?

A Sold Secure approved lock should display the Sold Secure logo on the packaging. The logo should also display the rating the lock has been given:

Sold Secure Approved

If you’ve already bought a bike lock and you’re not sure if it’s Sold Secure approved, you can check the Sold Secure website by clicking here.

What does ‘Insured value’ mean?

When buying a policy, we’ll ask you what you paid for the cycle and set this as your cycle’s insured value.

If you bought the cycle in a sale, you should enter the non-sale price to ensure your reimbursement is sufficient to cover the cost of a replacement cycle.

Any other security requirements I should know about?
